Las intervenciones psicológicas en-línea (OPI) responden a esta intención y son alternativas legítimas, innovadoras, eficientes y éticas. El presente proyecto explora el rol de los componentes de la inflexibilidad psicológica como factores de riesgo transdiagnósticos que contribuyen al desarrollo de sintomatología emocional clínica y procesos de cambio conductual a través de los cuales un programa OPI logra disminuir los niveles de sintomatología. La primera fase planteó un modelo de clasificación clínica a través de una regresión logística binaria que permitió la confirmación del rol transdiagnóstico de algunos componentes de la inflexibilidad psicológica y la identificación de variables adicionales relevantes a la hora de evaluar el riesgo psicológico. Adicionalmente, se planteó un modelo de ecuaciones estructurales de tipo explicativo que agrupa los componentes de la inflexibilidad psicológica (AAQ-II, CFQ, PTQ, GPQ-9 y VQ) en un factor superordinado y explora su relación con otros factores que agrupan variables relevantes de cara a la predicción de niveles clínicos de sintomatología emocional (DASS-21). Por otro lado, para la segunda fase se realizó un ensayo clínico abierto en el cual se aplicó una OPI con apoyo extenso (sesiones sincrónicas semanales) diseñada para fomentar la flexibilidad psicológica en adultos jóvenes (entre 18 y 39 años) con niveles clínicos de sintomatología emocional (depresión, ansiedad y/o estrés). La intervención consta de tres módulos no interactivos y asincrónicos que incluyen: 6 horas de contenido multimedia, ejercicios experienciales y de expresión escrita en los cuales el usuario trabaja de forma autónoma. Se encontró evidencia decisiva a favor del efecto inmediato, a corto y mediano plazo de la intervención sobre la sintomatología y los componentes de la inflexibilidad psicológica evaluados como procesos de cambio conductual. Dichos componentes fueron confirmados como procesos de cambio y mediaron parcialmente, pero de manera substancial el efecto de la intervención sobre la sintomatología emocional. En conclusión, se aportan herramientas útiles para la prevención y tratamiento de la sintomatología emocional clínica y se contribuye ampliamente a la base empírica que sustenta las OPIs como terapias basadas en evidencia.
