Satisfacción laboral, burnout y clima emocional en empleados de prisiones de Bogotá: un estudio exploratorio

First, the aim of this paper it is to know the perceived of burnout dimensions, job satisfac¬tion and emotional climate levels at the officers from five jails in Bogotá. Second, it is to study the relationships between these variables with psychosocial, job and demographic indicators. The burnout was measured with an adaptation of the Maslach Burnout Inven¬tory (MBI) scale. The results showed a strong relationship within three burnout dimen¬sions, but each one was associated with different psychosocial and job-satisfaction indica¬tors. Task satisfaction was related with lower emotional exhaustion level and higher per¬sonal accomplishment feeling level. Boss satisfaction was associated with lower deper¬sonalization level, and the personal accomplishment feelings were associated with lower avoided coping and high active coping. On other hand, perceived social support was re¬lated only with personal accomplishment feelings, and traumatic life events had both di¬rect and indirect effects, the first with a total job satisfaction score and the second with the emotional climate indicator. The emotional climate was associated with individual and psychosocial variables.
