| Summary: | The purpose of this work is to document the experiences at The Icon Capsule Hostel, where I did my professional internships, learn about the organization of the company and recognize their strengths and weaknesses, in order to develop an improvement plan, where a specific problem is identified and proposals are made to solve it and carry out an action plan. Solid waste is a worldwide problem caused mainly by the lack of an adequate management system that contributes to sustainable development as it was the case of The Icon Capsule Hostel. Four aspects were taken into account to implement the design of the Solid Waste Management Plan, firstly, the procedures used for the final management of the waste, secondly the identification of the failures of these procedures, thirdly, the identification of the possible solutions and fourthly the implementation of the action plan. |
