The city of Barranquilla has been characterized by the existence of patterns of violence, these being structural, symbolic and cultural violence. This research focuses on identifying how these patterns can permeate the educational process and, in turn, how institutions through the culture of peace prevent these typologies. To carry out the study, closed questionnaires to teachers, semi-structured interviews with pedagogy experts and focus groups with different actors of the educational process were carried out in two public and private institutions in the city of Barranquilla. Among the results, Law 1732 of 2014 and Regulatory Decree 1038 of 2015 are highlighted, both of which make the chair of peace compulsory in national educational institutions, and the identification of typologies of violence that influence the management of the culture of peace inside and outside the classroom. With reference to the foregoing, it is concluded that education with the family nucleus is related to the promotion of a culture of peace and mediation processes in a dynamic manner, which are the basis for training in peaceful citizenship. |

La presente investigación se centra en identificar como aquellos patrones pueden permear dentro del proceso educativo y a su vez, como las instituciones a través de la cultura de paz previenen las tipologías presentes. Para ejecutar el estudio se ha llevado a cabo cuestionarios cerrados a docentes, entrevistas semiestructuradas a expertos en pedagogía y grupos focales con distintos actores del proceso educativo en dos instituciones de carácter público y privado en la ciudad de barranquilla. Dentro de los resultados se destaca la ley 1732 del 2014 y el decreto reglamentario 1038 del 2015, estos imponen la catedra de paz como obligatoria en las instituciones educativas nacionales, además, la identificación de las tipologías de violencia las cuales influyen en el manejo de la cultura de paz dentro y fuera de las aulas de clases. En referencia a lo mencionado se concluye que la educación junto al núcleo familiar posee relación en la promoción de la cultura de paz y los procesos de mediación de forma dinámica, siendo estos la base de formación en la ciudadanía de paz.A cidade de Barranquilla tem sido caracterizada pela existência de padrões de violência, sendo estes a violência estrutural, simbólica e cultural. A presente pesquisa tem como foco identificar como esses padrões podem permear dentro do processo educativo e, por sua vez, como as instituições através da cultura de paz impedem as tipologias presentes. Para realizar o estudo foram realizados questionários fechados a professores, entrevistas semiestruturadas a especialistas em pedagogia e grupos focais com diferentes atores do processo educacional em duas instituições de caráter público e privado na cidade de Barranquilla. Entre os resultados, destaca-se a lei 1732 de 2014 e o decreto regulamentar 1038 de 2015, que impõem a cátedra da paz como obrigatória nas instituições educacionais nacionais, além de identificar as tipologias de violência que influenciam o manejo da cultura da paz dentro e fora das salas de aula.
