Description
Summary:The starting point is the current design of the capture of the water resource of the aqueduct of the Balsal village, the inefficiency in the form of capture was analyzed, since it is direct, which allows the passage of particles that are led to the tanks of storage due to the fact that it does not present any type of sand trap. The foregoing led to a search for literature and information that would allow a solution to the problem raised, in order to generate a hydraulic design of a intake and a sand trap that meets the parameters analyzed in the intake of the aqueduct located on the farm of the Zamora family (vereda Balsal, Villeta Cundinamarca). It is considered that the proposal will improve the water catchment taking into account the calculations and design of the size of the grid in order not to affect the continuous flow of the source, as well as to satisfy the demand of the inhabitants of the village.
