We perform predictive calculation for rain attenuation rates by mathematical models of recommendations P.618, P.838, P.837 from ITU, these results are used as input data for development of link budgets, in which the modulation schemes and existing coding from DVB-RCS2 standard are evaluated. The research aims to anticipate operating levels in a satellite return link in Ka band with rain conditions, considering the need for deployment of broadband services on the Peruvian territory, in complement with terrestrial technologies.El presente trabajo muestra los resultados del análisis del estándar DVB-RCS2 para enlaces satelitales de retorno entre 2 Mbps y 10 Mbps en el Perú, mediante la utilización de satélites de alto rendimiento (HTS) de Banda Ka de órbita geoestacionaria. Se realiza el cálculo predictivo de los índices de atenuación por lluvia, mediante los modelos matemáticos de las recomendaciones P.618-9, P.838-3 y P.837-6 de la ITU, con la finalidad de identificar el grado de atenuación por ciudad.
