In this project, this concept of communication is analyzed, considering four mothers deprived of their liberty with house arrest and their children between 7 and 9 years old age, for which, the axioms of communication and communication guidelines are taken into account within the family system and subsystem, located within the corresponding life cycle by part of the girls and the prison situation on the part of the mother according to the code penitentiary article 38 with law 1142 of 2007 article 27. It is a qualitative investigation, with descriptive scope, which allows the objectives to be met through stories life of the participants, where the result is that the communication patterns between mothers and their children are in some elements in a distorted way and that, the fact being deprived of liberty significantly affects this distortion.
