Description
Summary:Innovations and advances in technology have positioned themselves as essential instruments in neuropsychological practice. The purpose of this project was to conduct a literature review of the tools used in the intervention of executive functions from 2010 to 2020. To achieve this purpose, a non-experimental design methodology was used with which a systematic exploration of a specific topic was carried out, followed by a classification and finally a review. The following databases were used: Repositorio Institucional Universidad Antonio Nariño, ScienceDirect, Scopus, Scielo, Redalyc, and Google Scholar. An initial sample of 34 articles was collected and 15 were selected for further analysis. The results show a strong utility of non-invasive virtual reality tools, video games and applications for mobile devices for the rehabilitation and prevention of cognitive functioning in the population in the stages of adulthood and old age
