Summary: | This document describes the design, manufacturing and fine tuning of a tool for sharpening the rollers of an R8 sugar mill for the “La Palmira” farm in the municipality of Anzoátegui Tolima, which has the function of sharpening the rollers of the trapiche without the need to disassemble it. The objective of the work was to build a tool that was efficient, durable, easy to operate and transport, since the mills where panela is produce are located in places that are difficult to access. Firstly, two design alternatives were made with the CAD SolidWorks Software where the dimensions of the trapiche and the operation of the tool were taken into account.
