Through a qualitative approach, were interviewed full-time faculty at the University of Sonora, to consider them as the main subject in the restructuring of cultural dispositions of college players. The aim is to know what is the link between reading and teachers, as a provision that forms the habitus of individuals.El presente artículo se deriva de los resultados de investigación realizada para describir las disposiciones culturales de los profesores, con base en los conceptos ordenadores de la teoría sociológica de Pierre Bourdieu. En este trabajo, específicamente, se aborda la reflexión sobre lo que leen los profesores, como un factor determinante en la adquisición de capital cultural. A través de un enfoque cualitativo, se entrevistaron a profesores de tiempo completo de la Universidad de Sonora, al considerarles como sujeto principal en la reestructuración de disposiciones culturales de los actores universitarios.
