Summary:Candidiasis is an infection caused by fungi of the genus Candida, however, when the ecosystem of the body or the immune system is altered, they manifest mucocutaneous lesions and fungemia. Currently there are antifungal medications that have been reported to produce adverse events, leading to the search for new compounds, including natural compounds that stand out with potential antifungal activity and without side effects.
