Description
Summary:In the context of urban development in Commune 3 of Neiva, significant challenges related to urban planning and accessibility to public spaces are being faced. Two fundamental pillars of this issue are pedestrian mobility and the quality of public space. The aim of this study is to project a public space that improves mobility, interaction, inclusion, and spatial appropriation of the area through a network of connection between existing elements and the urban proposal. We look to understand the factors that drive informal vendors to occupy an increasingly larger space over time, considering the surrounding activities and profiling these workers. Furthermore, the goal is to design a spatial proposal that perfects and organizes mobility in Commune 3, recognizing the importance of public space and understanding the surrounding social dynamics. This proposal aims to provide the residents of Neiva with the right to a more accessible and attractive city, where the revitalization of public spaces and the interconnection of urban facilities promote a sustainable environment and enhance the urban experience in Commune 3.
