Summary:The new departmental ESE San Francisco de Asís, is located in the municipality of Quibdó, department of Chocó, which for years has been immersed in a crisis, a situation that since 2007 has led to the national government there 18 interventions have been carried out, which have always aimed to clean up their current state, but none has reached a satisfactory end. The San Francisco de Asís hospital is the only second-level hospital that the department of Chocó currently has, which has become an emporium of corruption for the leaders, since they have seen in this a way to pay political favors, thus diverting health resources for other types of activities, which not only puts the health system of the Chocoano population at risk, but also violates the right to health. Due to that, the pertinent part of this investigative article which ultimately seeks to know the situation or crisis that this health entity has been facing for years and at the same time to know the different actions carried out by the government and control entities in order to solve said crisis and achieve its financial viability and economic sustainability.
