Summary: | This document describes the design of a thermal energy source to heat thermal oil that replaces exhaust gas as a heat source. The objective is to transfer thermal energy to some equipment, to carry out critical processes that are necessary, even if the electricity generation plant is out of service. Initially, will be presented data about temperatures, flows, distances, and process parameters, to guet a panorama as real as possible about the amount of energy used and its losses to establish the design requirements. Then, its evaluated different factors to choose the best prototype and its analyze the actual need for thermal energy to guet the characteristics of the final design. With the help of calculation tools and the information collected from manufacturers through visits, catalogs, books, and information on other related topics annexed in this document, the thermomechanical equipment and its electrical power circuit are designed |
