The study is developed under the methodology of a series of quantitative cases of descriptive scopeLa presente investigación tuvo como objetivo describir la relación entre el déficit ejecutivo, la depresión y el intento de suicidio en jóvenes de la ciudad de Bogotá, debido al aumento en la tendencia de mortalidad por suicido en Colombia en grupos etarios adolescentes y jóvenes, y así, contribuir al abanico de explicaciones del fenómeno desde la Neurociencias y las Funciones ejecutivas respecto a la posible existencia de una disfunción ejecutiva que predispone a los individuos con determinadas vulnerabilidades ambientales y psicológicos, al desarrollo de episodios o trastornos afectivos como la depresión que se relaciona con la posterior aparición de pensamientos y conductas suicidas. El estudio se desarrolla bajo la metodología de una serie de casos cuantitativo de alcance descriptivo.
