This work aims to demonstrate the basic operation of radio frequency identification systems (RFID) and the characteristics that affect their use for the control of large inventories. Also, there is a brief description of RFID technology and its components.El surgimiento de nuevas necesidades en el consumo ciertos productos a partir del crecimiento de la población mundial, ha traído consigo la implementación de tecnologías que no habían sido tomadas en cuenta para el mejoramiento de los procesos que implican el control de grandes inventarios dentro de las diferentes industrias. Este trabajo tiene como objetivo mostrar como es el funcionamiento básico de los sistemas de identificación por radiofrecuencias (RF-ID) y las características que influyen en su uso para el control de grandes inventarios.
