Summary:It is proven that organizations are currently looking for an efficient maintenance system to avoid downtime in their production or service provision and that generates a monetary loss and customer dissatisfaction. The evolution of the maintenance activity must, in the first instance, be the adoption of a system that matches the needs of each company and specifically the characteristics and technical status of the equipment and machinery installed in them. The work was done in the company Aguas de Cartagena E.S.P. The purpose of the research is to design a Preventive Maintenance Plan in the systems Instrumentation implemented in the treatment stations through a work schedule that contains the prioritization of the stations, which is developed with the information obtained from the company, identifying the main causes that affects the execution of preventive maintenance through a CRM analysis and the criticism of the stations that have more control and maintenance. Finally, the main parameters and requirements for the plan will be obtained, such as: indicators of average time between failures, intervention times and solution of the corrections generated, the measurement of the productivity of human resources and production costs.
