Description
Summary:Cancer is one of the diseases that constitutes physical and psychological affectation in patients, because it refers to some aspects related to the quality of life of the patient are affected or not since the moment of diagnosis. In this research we wanted to know the impact of the implementation of a brief psychological program of relaxation by breathing, imagery and emotional expression on anxiety in a patient diagnosed with breast cancer and brain tumor. In order to identify this, a qualitative, hermeneutical-based research was developed, using the open interview and the field diary as a data collection technique during the six scheduled sessions, and the use of self-registration formats. The results obtained show that the negative factors associated with the person's anxiety derive from thoughts or perceptions about the disease, relapse, death, avoidance patterns before medical procedures, social relationships and previous experiences with the disease.
