Description
Summary:Concern about lowering pollution rates and protecting the environment has led to reflection on the excessive use of vehicles with internal combustion engines for private passenger transportation in cities like Bogotá. The aim is to demonstrate the technical viability for the development and execution of the project. This work compiles and studies information on the present and future of passenger transportation in the large cities of Latin America and the world, thus justifying the design of a power unit that integrates mechanical transmission and alternating current electric motor with regenerative braking.
