Description
Summary:This project corresponds to the automation of the gate of mill No. 1 of Unit 1 of Termopaipa. Specifically, the manual carbon valve opening control which represented operational and occupational risk was replaced. Before automation, the gate was manipulated manually. For this purpose, the control room operator gave the order to the mill area operator to open or close the gate in different positions. In order to replace this maneuver, an actuator positioner that complies with regulations for the operation site was selected and the operation site was conditioned. The system installation was scheduled with ABB to avoid communication conflicts and is currently in service.
