Our results depict that introduced species are, in fact, dominant in many Colombian cities and, because those do not provide food to native fauna (avifauna and small mammals); although they provide some ornamental and environmental services, they do not contributeto the connectivity of fragmented ecosystems caused by urban development.Las arborizaciones en muchas ciudades colombianas son el resultado de programas de arborización basados en especies introducidas. Las ciudades fragmentan los ecosistemas originales, creándoles alteraciones, disturbios y deterioro; y debido a que la mayor cantidad de árboles plantados en los espacios urbanos corresponden a especies introducidas, esta fragmentación de los ecosistemas no disminuye.
