Summary: | The increasing demand for ceramic brackets in the last years has brought a considerable need for finding new and more efficient protocols for rebonding ceramic brackets in order to reduce treatment costs. The purpose of this study was to compare the bonding force between three different ceramic brackets rebonding protocols (silano bonding protocol, Ortho Solo orthodontic adhesive, Ormco orthodontics; Single Bond adhesive, 3M.) and a control group of new ceramic brackets, all of them bonded in natural and healthy bicuspid teeth. The debonding force was 12 measured by a universal testing machine. As a result, the group that needed more debonding force was the Ortho Solo (Ormco) group. The group that showed less shear bond strength was the Silano Bondig Protocol group. |
