Therefore, we continue in the search for biomaterials with physical properties capable of providing stability to the oral environment; Hydrogels have become an effective alternative for use in the oral cavity. |

En la actualidad existen tratamientos para detener la enfermedad periodontal, que en la mayoria de casos implican la pérdida irreversible de tejido y dejan secuelas en la estructura; por tal motivo se han propuesto tratamientos coadyuvantes a está terapéutica y materiales biocompatibles que sirvan como medio de andamio capaces de promover la regeneración.
