Description
Summary:Periodontal disease is an inflammatory pathology that affects 11.2% of world population; When it is in advanced stages it causes tooth loss. In the Currently there are treatments to stop periodontal disease, which in most cases They involve the irreversible loss of tissue and leave scars on the structure; For this reason they have proposed adjuvant treatments to this therapeutic and biocompatible materials that serve as a scaffolding medium capable of promoting regeneration. Therefore, we continue in the search for biomaterials with physical properties capable of providing stability to the oral environment; Hydrogels have become an effective alternative for use in the oral cavity.
