Summary:Oral health is defined as the absence of orofacial pain and all parts that make up the mouth (Morata Alba J, 2019). That is to say; to the functional state of the system stomatognathic for correct swallowing, phonetics and chewing (Pitts, Nigel B.Amid I. Ismail, BDS, Stefania Martignon, Kim Ekstrand, BDS, 2014). Some of these conditions such as tooth decay, gingivitis etc They can be progressive until they reach oral cancer. Likewise, the association Canadian Dental Institute states that oral health "is a state of the tissues of the mouth and related structures that contributes positively to physical, mental and social well-being, well-being and enjoyment of life's possibilities, allowing the individual to speak, eat and socialize without obstacles due to pain, discomfort or shame” (Medina C et al., 2006). In In other words, it allows the individual to speak, eat and socialize without any hindrance either by pain, discomfort or embarrassment. Therefore, oral health is part of the functional capacity of the oral cavity (Medina C et al., 2006). The state of oral health is constituted by conditions and social determinants in health (DSD). Oral health conditions are specifically focused on favoring the processes diet, good oral hygiene, healthy habits and dental check-up at least twice a year which will guarantee the reduction of risk to present different oral pathologies. On the other hand, the (DSS) are those life behaviors that an individual acquires in a responsible since it is born, grows, works, lives and ages, taking into account behaviors that influence their life such as the social environment, genetic and environmental factors (Ministry of Health and Social Protection, 2014).
