description	With the growing interest on the investigation of the tourism as a complex system, given the great relevance that this has become for the economic growth of countries, a new methodology has begun to be used to study this type of system, called as Network Science, this methodology allows us to understand these systems that involve different types of actors, to establish the nature under those specifics systems, while assessing the nature of the complex network structure of those systems in general. Taking into account this growing type of studies, it has been proposed in the present work the elaboration of a state of the art, which based on a collection of investigations under this type of approach, allows determining the tendencies and characteristics of this type of research. Thus determining possible future changes in the growth and development of these works through the meticulous analysis of various properties in the area of metadata and methodological approaches of the collected documents. Among the most notorious results, the versatility of tourism to function with different areas of knowledge is evident, the quality of these studies despite their recent appearance its commonly high, the great diversity of perspectives that can be addressed from this work methodology despite the restrictions in the scope and design of the works, together with other characteristics that allow a more detailed understanding of this type of research from a rigorous and detailed approach.

Among the most notorious results, the versatility of tourism to function with different areas of knowledge is evident, the quality of these studies despite their recent appearance its commonly high, the great diversity of perspectives that can be addressed from this work methodology despite the restrictions in the scope and design of the works, together with other characteristics that allow a more detailed understanding of this type of research from a rigorous and detailed approach.Con el creciente interés en investigar el turismo como un sistema complejo, dada la gran relevancia en que se ha convertido este para el crecimiento económico de los países, se ha comenzado a utilizar una nueva metodología que permite el estudio de este tipo de sistemas, denominada como Ciencia de redes, esta metodología permite comprender estos sistemas que involucran diversos tipos de actores, para establecer de este modo la naturaleza bajo la que funcionan estos en un sistema específico, evaluando a la par la naturaleza de la estructura de red compleja de estos sistemas en general. Teniendo en cuenta este creciente tipo de estudios, se ha planteado en el presente trabajo la elaboración de un estado del arte, el cual, en base a una recolección de investigaciones bajo este tipo de enfoque, permita determinar las tendencias y características de este tipo de investigaciones. Determinando de este modo posibles cambios a futuro en el crecimiento y desarrollo de estos trabajos mediante el análisis meticuloso de diversas propiedades en el área de metadatos y aproximaciones metodológicas de los documentos recolectados. Dentro de los resultados más notorios, se evidencia la polivalencia del turismo para funcionar con distintas áreas del conocimiento, la calidad de estos estudios a pesar de su reciente aparición es comúnmente elevada, la gran diversidad de perspectivas que pueden ser abordadas desde esta metodología de trabajo a pesar de las restricciones en el alcance y diseño de los trabajos, junto a otras
