BogotáPropiaAbstract The following research work integrates all the different characteristics that occur within indigenous communities in general, their development, internal and autonomous control mechanisms with respect to cultural issues and finally the implementation of ideas for comprehensive and social improvement of their territories. Through this research, what is sought is to know all these characteristics and thus generate spatial proposals that contribute to the recognition and importance that indigenous peoples should have, from the vision of the community itself to measure needs, enhance initiatives and promote the social development of the Wayuu population. This process allows to strengthen the cultural identity and the valuation of the intangible heritage to show it to the world ALIJUNA (non-indigenous person) as a part of the same virtuous circle of adequate sustainable development from the sociocultural point of view. The project aims to provide architectural and urban solutions through public space, making the most of the Riohacha boardwalk sector as the main design factor, thus giving the project a more appropriate beautification to all the urban aspects to be implemented.El siguiente trabajo de investigación integra todas las diferentes características que se presentan dentro de las comunidades indígenas en general, su desarrollo, los mecanismos de control interno y autónomo con respecto a temas culturales y finalmente a la implementación de ideas de mejoramiento integral y social de sus territorios. A través de esta investigación lo que se busca es conocer todas esas características y así generar propuestas espaciales que contribuyan al reconocimiento y la importancia que deben tener los pueblos indígenas, desde la visión de la misma comunidad para dimensionar las necesidades, potenciar las iniciativas e impulsar el desarrollo social de la población wayuu. Este proceso permite fortalecer la identidad cultural y la valoración del patrimonio intangible para mostrarlo al mundo ALIJUNA (persona no indígena) como una parte del mismo círculo virtuoso de desarrollo sostenible adecuado desde el punto de vista sociocultural. El proyecto pretende dar soluciones arquitectónicas y urbanísticas a través de espacio público, aprovechando al máximo el sector del malecón de Riohacha como principal factor de diseño dándole así al
