Summary: | This study evaluates the cost-effectiveness of maternal-perinatal interventions implemented by a health insurer in southwestern Colombia during 2021-2022, focusing on extreme maternal morbidity (EMM). Through an observational and analytical approach, we analyze how these interventions influence health outcomes and their economic feasibility. The results indicate that improving prenatal and perinatal care not only benefits maternal and perinatal health, but also optimizes financial resources in overburdened health systems. S |
