The present paper presents two philosophies in management development for TRIZ innovation and design thinking, disciplines that have been extensively addressed by researchers and scientists. The study is based on secondary sources of information; its structure contains elements described by different authors and presents conclusions and recommendations on the development of innovation management for Colombian companies.La innovación se desarrolla como uno de los factores primordiales en el desarrollo de las economías, dónde su estudio se convierte en la razón y esencia de los programas y proyectos de desarrollo de instituciones y naciones. El presente artículo presenta dos filosofías en el desarrollo de la gestión para la innovación, TRIZ y DESIGN THINKING (DT), disciplinas que han sido ampliamente abordadas por investigadores y científicos.
