Its treatment includes radiotherapy, chemotherapy and surgery, that although they seek to improve the overall health of the patient, can cause undesirable side effects in patients, and they do not reach 100% effectiveness. Therefore, it is necessary to search for new effective therapeutic alternatives that do not generate adverse effects and do not involve high medical expenses. Natural medicine is a tool that favors the treatment of different types of cancer, since numerous studies show that plants have components that interfere in the survival and death of cancer cells. For this reason, the objective of this research was to determine the anticancer activity of three plants extracts found in the colombian Atlantic Coast, on two cell lines OSCA-8...El Osteosarcoma es el tipo de cáncer óseo más común que afecta en su mayoríaa niños, adolescentes y adultos jóvenes. Es una enfermedad caracterizada portener un tratamiento agresivo y en general un mal pronóstico. Su tratamientoincluye radioterapia, quimioterapia y cirugía, que aunque buscan mejorar la saludglobal del paciente, pueden causar efectos secundarios indeseables en lospacientes y no alcanzan el 100% de efectividad, por lo tanto, se hace necesaria labúsqueda de nuevas alternativas terapéuticas eficaces, que no generen efectosadversos y no involucren elevados gastos médicos. La medicina natural es una herramienta que favorece el tratamiento de distintos tipos de cáncer ya que está demostrado que las plantas poseen componentes que interfieren en la supervivencia y muerte de las células cancerígenas.
