Description
Summary:This project addresses the implementation of a Virtual Learning Environment with augmented reality, as a support tool to training processes on the parts and handling of a class B autoclave. Initially, a programmatic content is elaborated that will serve as a guide to structure the educational process, later it will be transformed into an educational tool using Vuforia and Unity as development platforms for Augmented Reality (AR), in addition to making use of the unified modeling language UML for its description, the SCRUM development paradigm will also be used to control the development cycle of the software application. The purpose of the project is to obtain a computational tool for educational support, useful for any user interested in acquiring knowledge related to the manipulation of a class B autoclave, Automat 8000 - 80L in a didactic and interactive way, without the risk of operation or disarmament of the device in real time. The developed application presents as a result a didactic material that makes use of TIC in the processes of academic training with Augmented Reality in a classroom; in this regard, it should be noted that the app is organized in three sections. In the first section, a brief information about autoclaves and sterilization is presented, likewise, this information is accessed only through the app in short reading format without using AR; then, in the second section, an interactive guide that explains the main parts that make up a class B autoclave (Automat 8000 - 80L) is displayed, in addition to knowing the process and manipulation performed by this biomedical device in a sterilization cycle; and finally, in a third section, a knowledge test is developed to evaluate the learning obtained by the user by identifying concepts related to what was learned in the previous sections, in addition to a personal opinion survey regarding the app.
