| Summary: | Design, Urbanism, Architecture and Planning (UAO) is a company that provides consulting in architectural design, structural design, and soil studies. It provides its services effectively, resulting in the full trust and credibility of clients in the department. This company is looking for interns to streamline processes related to soil and pavement studies. This involves carrying out activities such as supporting the collection of samples in the field and the creation of laboratory specimens. Support is provided in the characterization of soil and/or rock aggregate samples, which includes aspects to be analyzed such as grain size, Atterberg limits, and load capacity, among others. These tasks will be carried out using a mixed methodology due to the presence of qualitative and quantitative data. An empirical, analytical, and experimental approach will be applied, which includes SPT and CBR studies. These results obtained from these studies are essential to consider different soil aspects and profiles when designing structures. The purpose of the internship is to accelerate processes in the company by carrying out field activities and preparing reports. In addition, the internship allows not only to put into practice the knowledge acquired by the intern during their civil engineering career, as well as to acquire new knowledge that enriches their academic and professional life, but also to provide new knowledge to the company that the civil engineering student (intern) has obtained from their studies at the Universidad Antonio Nariño. |
