Description
Summary:This research sought to determine the pH and normal volume in a unstimulated salivary during the dental care using chemical indicators for pH measuring tapes. That´s techniques complement to caries diagnosis factors together with the Cariogram items. For the associate measure with the risk factors of the Riskgram in the clinical practice during the dental care service at the pediatric dentistry clinic in the Villavicencio Dental School of Antonio Nariño University (OdontopedUAN-V). Method: We sought to evaluate the potential risk of new caries lesions in 50 patients (31 male children and 19 female children) between the ages of 3-14 years old, for which the Riskgram completed by the students of OdontopedUAN-V, and we were used the Cariogram® free software, which are models for evaluating caries risk factors. Unstimulated saliva (ml / min) was collected from children in a sterile plastic cup and pH was measured with pH test strips. The data were analyzed in the SPSS 22 program with a confidence level of 95%.
