Description
Summary:This present research work aim was to analyze coping strategies and the resilience factors of five families of the Corregimiento El Hormiguero -Valle del Cauca, Colombia- during the Covid-19 pandemic. To achieve this, a qualitative research with phenomenological design and thematic analysis was proposed. The instrument used was the semi-structured interview, which was answered by a member (parent). It was found that families used different coping strategies and that they had different factors that facilitated resilience. Of the internal coping strategies, the most used is restructuring. The most commonly used external coping strategies are the search for spiritual support and the search for social support. The most used resilient processes were family beliefs (giving meaning to adversity, positive focus and spirituality). The resilient processes in which difficulties were encountered were communication (frank emotional expression) and family organization (financial resources).
