Description
Summary:This project presents the development for the design and construction of a prototype for the generation of electric energy by means of the Archimedes screw principle, making use of a water flow available in a stream in the village of Punta Grande, municipality of Guachetá Cundinamarca. This hydroscrew is designed to work with an available flow of 10 L/s and thus generate an electrical power of 10W. The study of this hydroscrew started from one of the basic needs faced by people today as it is the lack of connection to the energy supply to facilitate the development of daily activities, through scientific and technological knowledge of systems of transformation of hydraulic energy into mechanical energy and then into electrical energy with the help of a generator, an energy source is fed in this case a led lamp that allows lighting a certain place, through the selection of materials is carried out the construction of the structure that supports the hidroscrew allowing it to rotate freely in its support points. Being this a prototype characterized as a microturbine by its dimensions used is expected to have an ease at the time of its implementation and that its operation does not require more work for a person to perform.
