Summary:The project is to optimize the process of maintenance and calibration of control valves in the instrumentation workshop at the Cartagena refinery, through proposals for improvements that impact the technologies and tools implemented (test bench) and through the implementation of the different types of maintenance that improve processes efficiently and with quality. Taking into account the theoretical references described on the implementation of the different types of maintenance and their results. The methodology described, it was carry out through an exploratory and purposeful study, with a qualitative approach and a direct deductive method that allowed, through the information collected in the company, to reach precise conclusions about the real state of the maintenance system.
