The Alto Río Cauca Humedales complex, associated with the Sonso or Chircal Lagoon, cataloged worldwide as a RAMSAR site, is of singular ecological value due to several factors, its landscape, diversity of flora and fauna, its high ecotourism potential, recreational and bird watching.
