Description
Summary:This research is a study by means of bacterial strains present in the moderate and severe stages of periodontal disease, identifying the efficacy of some extracts of natural products seeking to be an option for those who suffer from these diseases, and achieving that they can have an adjuvant for their treatment. The objective is to determine the antibacterial efficacy of the extracts on Fusobacterium Nucleatum, Streptococcus Sanguis, Prevotella intermedia, in vitro study. This is an observational study, of descriptive type, additionally the documentary revision has been used as a method, based on studies carried out in Concepción (Chile), Trujillo (Peru), Quito (Ecuador), where it was found that the extracts of chamomile, cinnamon, cloves, have been positive for the control of the bacteria fusobacterium Nucleatum, Prevotella intermedia, Streptococcus; S Sanguinis, taking into account the longitude, latitude, altitude above sea level and climate of the mentioned cities at the time they were studied. The research was carried out in the microbiology laboratory of the Antonio Nariño University, Neiva, cultures were sown in Petri dishes with blood agar, with microorganisms (fusobacterium Nucleatum, Prevotella intermedia, Streptococci; S Sanguinis), present in the moderate and severe stage of periodontitis, adding 100 micrometers of the extracts chamomile, cinnamon, cloves, marigold, then it was taken to a jar of anaerobiosis, obtaining a suitable environment, it was taken to the incubator with temperature 40. 3° for 96 hours.
