For performing this work, a four stepsmethodology was used: i) identification of the academic offer, ii) recompilation of information, iii) classification of the programs iv) and generation of reports and analysis ofthe findings. The main results are the characterization of the academic offer of masterprograms in computing, the names of the programs, their granted academic degrees,and the research areas, which were analyzed and classified by taking as reference thecurricula recommendations by the Association for Computing Machinery - ACM. Finally, this study provides elements that enrich the ongoing discussion that occurs in theacademic community in the country, on the present and future of computer educationat different levels, and particularly in the master level.Este artículo presenta un análisis de los programas de maestría que existen actualmente en Colombia para brindar formación en el campo de la computación. Para su desarrollo se utilizó una metodología compuesta por cuatro etapas: i) Identificación de la oferta académica, ii) búsqueda de información, iii) clasificación de los programas, iv) generación de informes y análisis de hallazgos. Los principales resultados son la caracterización de la oferta de maestrías en computación, el análisis de las denominaciones de los programas, los títulos que se otorgan y las líneas de investigación, las cuales fueron analizadas y clasificadas tomando como referentes las guías y recomendaciones curriculares de la Asociación para la Computación – ACM.
