Se realizó una búsqueda de artículos de investigación publicados entre 2009 y 2019 en las bases de datos, ScienceDirect, Scielo, PUBMED, Redalyc, con el uso de los siguientes taxones: depresión, infantil, enfermería, Cáncer y sus descriptores equivalentes en inglés y portugués. La muestra final de estudios comprendió 15 artículos internacionales (87%) y 2 nacionales (13%). Resultados: Los países de origen de los artículos que compusieron la revisión fueron: Taiwán (13%), Portugal (13%), Brasil (13%), Colombia (13%), USA (13%), China (7%), Noruega (7%), Suecia (7%), Turquía (7%) y Reino Unido (7%). Los resultados fueron categorizados en signos y síntomas asociados a depresión y cáncer y Cuidados de Enfermería. Conclusiones: Los resultados muestran la necesidad de identificar precozmente síntomas depresivos asociados a cáncer y diferenciarlos de las manifestaciones propias de la enfermedad, a través de instrumentos validados acordes con la edad y el desarrollo cognitivo de la población de estudio. Por otra parte, varias intervenciones fueron identificadas para el cuidado de los niños con cáncer; sin embargo, la dificultad para identificar los síntomas de depresión, limitaron nuestra capacidad de análisis y por extensión la evaluación de los efectos de las intervenciones de enfermería en nuestra población de estudio.
