Summary:Dental fluorosis is a pathology associated with high levels of exposure to fluoride, leading to an alteration in dental structure; this alteration occurs in millions of people in the world, coming to be considered a public health problem, this being the central theme of the present investigation which aims to determine the bibliometric characteristics of the publications in Scopus on dental fluorosis, in the period of time from 2012 to 2022. The methodology in the present investigation was developed under the type of bibliometric study, using as sources of information all the scientific articles published from 2012 to the present in relation to the topic of dental fluorosis, information compiled through the Scopus database. Which provides a service through the internet of a database about bibliographic references, and citations of periodical publications, where related results were achieved on the analysis of bibliometric indicators obtained from the SCOPUS database for the topic of dental fluorosis. , delimiting the search for research publications using the formula "teeth and fluoride" during the last 10 years, obtaining as a result a total of 5,247 documents, thus reaching the respective conclusions on the different scientific publications by year, by author, citations, indexes, affiliations, and by country, highlighting the progress of this type of research in countries such as China, Brazil and the United States, where it was shown that the authors have certain preferences for scientific articles in order to publish their research
