Summary: | In this paper we present the results of a qualitative research that aimed to characterize the encounter with Zapatista autonomous education based on our collaboration with promoters of this education. The study was carried out based on the conceptual and methodological proposals of collaborative research. Through a qualitative content analysis of the interviews, we describe the conditions and characteristics that make possible the encounter of the elements that allow us to characterize it as an intercultural encounter, and the contributions generated between those who facilitate the workshops and the promoters of Zapatista education. The Zapatista autonomous education project is made visible as an alternative to the hegemonic model of contemporary public education, oriented by the logics of the business management policies of academic capitalism. |
