In these cases the indigenous communities have claimed rights as a group. Thus, the Court has built an extensive and very protectionist doctrine, especially on the right to communal property of the ancestral lands, on the right to judicial guarantees and on the right to life.El reconocimiento de los derechos humanos de las comunidades indígenas se ha producido de forma reciente. La Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos, se muestra como el tribunal regional que más profunda y extensamente se ha preocupado de la cuestión a través de los asuntos que se presentan en este trabajo, y en los que estas comunidades han reclamado derechos como grupo. Así, ha ido construyendo una extensa doctrina muy proteccionista acerca, especialmente, del derecho a la propiedad comunal sobre sus tierras ancestrales, a las garantías judiciales y a la vida.La reconnaissance des droits des communautés autochtones a produit récemment.
