This article is developed around three topics: first, biomedical dimension of unfertility and approaches proposed by Psychology to understand the implications of this phenomenon; second, couple, emphasizing positions oriented to discern its nature, its' operation forms and conditions that move them to change; third, related to narrative like possibility to understand and interpret the clinical phenomena, among them, couples experiences with attended fertility processes. Key words: fertility, infertility, systemic paradigm, constructionist, constructivist and complex.Los problemas de fertilidad y concepción han sido tratados habitualmente en sus dimensiones biomédicas. Sin embargo, estos problemas reclaman cada día mayor intervención de equipos interdisciplinarios que permitan una atención integral, pues la imposibilidad de concepción no sólo está asociada a limitaciones biofísicas.
