RECONSTRUCCIÓN HIPOTÉTICA DEL ANTIGUO CONVENTO DE NUESTRA SEÑORA DEL ROSARIO EN SANTAFÉ DE BOGOTÁ

Resultado de una indagación de fuente primaria y secundaria realizada para una investigación referida a la participación de la comunidad dominicana en la construcción de una nación finalmente denominada Colombia, este artículo se centra en la narración del proceso de construcción del antiguo convento de Nuestra Señora del Rosario localizado en la ciudad de Santafé de Bogotá. Así mismo, se realiza la reconstrucción hipotética de la configuración espacial general de este conjunto conventual que ocupó por más de trescientos años la manzana comprendida entre las calles 12 y 13 y las carreras 7ª y 8ª de la actual nomenclatura de la ciudad. Procesos lentos y burocráticos, orgánicos y humanos, demasiado humanos, son los que se reflejan como producto de esta enriquecedora indagación de la fuente primaria, que bien puede ser hasta ahora, un primer acercamiento a futuros procesos de investigación que permitan reconstruir la totalidad de la obra construida de esta comunidad en este territorio llamado Colombia.ABSTRACTResults of an inquiry of primary and secondary source conducted for an investigation on the participation of the Dominican community, Order of Preachers (O.P.), in the construction of a nation finally named Colombia, this article focuses on the narrative of the construction process of the antique convent of Nuestra Señora del Rosario located in the city of Santafé de Bogotá, even in the hypothetical reconstruction of the general spatial configuration of the whole convent located for more than three hundred years in the block between calles 13th and 12th and carreras seventh and eighth of the current nomenclature of the city. Slow and bureaucratic, organic and human, too human processes, which are reflected as a result of this enriching investigation of the primary source , which may be well so far, as a first approach to future research processes that allow to reconstruct the whole of the built work of this community in this territory named Colombia.
