his paper analyzes the socioeconomic factors that influence the inhabitants ofTunja to belong to the informal sector; using as a source of information the Great lntegrated Household Survey (GEIH), conducted by the National Department of Statistics (DANE) during the years 2008 and 2015.Far this, a logit econometric model was carried out, which showed that the probability of being informal in Tunja decreases if it is male, if it has more years of schooling, and if it is occupied in the sectors of electricity, financial intermediation, real estate-rental activities -business, public, education and services. In addition to this, particular cases were analyzed, and it was observed how probable it is far a certain person (according to their years of schooling, their income and their gender) to belong to the informal sector. |

Este trabajo analiza los factores socioeconómicos que inciden en que los habitantes de Tunja pertenezcan al sector informal; utilizando como fuente de información la Gran Encuesta Integrada de Hogares (GEIH), realizada por el Departamento Nacional de Estadísticas (DANE) durante los años 2008 y 2015.Para ello, se realizó un modelo econométrico logit que dio como resultado que la probabilidad de ser informal en Tunja disminuye si es hombre, si se cuenta con más años de escolaridad, y si se ocupa en el sector eléctrico, intermediación financiera, actividades inmobiliarias-alquiler-empresariales, público, educación y servicios. Además de esto se analizaron casos particulares, y se observó qué tan probable es para determinada persona (según su edad, sus años de escolaridad, sus ingresos y su género) pertenecer al sector informal.Résumé Cet article analyse les facteurs socio-économiques qui poussent les habitants de Tunja (Colombie) a appartenir au secteur informel; en utilisant comme source d'information la Grande Enquete lntégrée sur les Ménages (GEIH), menée par le Département National des Statistiques (DANE) au cours des années 2008 et 2015.Pour cela, un modele économétrique logit a été réalisé, a démontré que la probabilité d'etre informel a Tunja diminue si c'est un homme,s'iVqui a plus d'années de scolarité et s'iVqui est occupé dans les secteurs de l'électricité, de l'intermédiation financiere et de la location immobiliere. -entreprises, public, éducation et services. En plus de cela, des cas particuliers ont été analysés et il a été observé la probabilité d'appartenir a une personne (en fonction de son age, de ses années de scolarité, de ses revenus et de son sexe) donnée du secteur informel.Este artigo a na lisa os fatores socioeconómicos que influenciam os habitantes de Tunja a pertencer ao setor informal; utilizando como fonte de informac;ao o Grande lnquérito Domiciliar Integrado (em espanhol GEIH), realizado pelo Departamento Nacional de Estatística (DANE) durante os anos de 2008 e 2015. Para isso, foi realizado um modelo econométrico logit, que mostrou que a probabilidade de ser informal em Tunja diminui se a pessoa é homem, se tiver mais anos de escolaridade, e se trabalha nos setores de eletricidade, intermediac;ao financeira, atividades de locac;ao de imóveis - negócios, público, educac;ao e servic;os.
