The present article is the result of research based on the analysis of six dimensions which have been extracted from the theoretical review and have been used by different authors and entities. A sample of 16 manufacturing micro-entrepreneurs from the Boyacá region is reviewed and a statistical analysis is made that accounts for the implementation of social responsibility programs, concluding that the progress of companies in this area is still very incipient. Finally, a prospective vision is formulated that leads the sector to implement actions that improve its current situation.A pesar de que la responsabilidad social empresarial (RSE) ha dado claras señales de los múltiples beneficios para una empresa cuando se pone en marcha, aún existe confusión sobre la forma como debe abordarse, esto debido a que se sigue mirando desde lo filantrópico que desde lo estratégico. El presente artículo, resultado de la investigación toma como base el análisis de seis dimensiones extraídas de la revisión teórica y que han sido utilizadas por diferentes autores y entidades. Se revisa una muestra de 16 microempresarios manufactureros del departamento de Boyacá y se hace un análisis estadístico que da cuenta de la implementación de programas de responsabilidad social, concluyendo que aún es muy incipiente el avance de las empresas en este tema. Finalmente se formula una visión prospectiva que lleve a que el sector estudiado pueda implementar acciones que mejoren su situación actual.En dépit des clairs exemples de multiples bénéfices que la responsabilité sociale entrepreneuriale (RSE) offre aux entreprises une fois qu’elle est mise en place, il existe encore des confusions quant à la façon de l’aborder ; ceci car elle est toujours considérée du point de vu philanthropique plutôt que du stratégique. Le présent article, résultat d’une investigation, part de l’analyse de six dimensions extraites de la révision théorique et qui ont été utilisées par différents auteurs et institutions. Un échantillon de 16 micro-entrepreneurs manufacturiers du département de Boyacá est examiné et une analyse statistique qui rend compte de la mise en place de programmes de responsabilité sociale est faite, concluant que les progrès de ces entreprises dans ce sujet sont encore naissants.
