description Este proyecto tuvo como objetivo informar una investigación realizada en un colegio público de Chocontá, Cundinamarca. El objetivo principal fue determinar cómo los estudiantes de inglés como lengua extranjera de décimo grado participaron en la lectura en inglés mediante la implementación de talleres de lectura en el contexto de la biblioteca móvil. El tipo de diseño fue investigación-acción, ya que se enfoca en la solución de problemas o dificultades en el aula teniendo en cuenta las características de la investigación cualitativa. Los instrumentos para la recolección de datos fueron los artefactos de los estudiantes, los diarios y la entrevista de los estudiantes, instrumentos abiertos, considerando que los datos recolectados intentaron informar sobre cómo los estudiantes participaban y disfrutaban de la lectura de EFL. La importancia de los hábitos de lectura del inglés como lengua extranjera, el uso de estrategias de lectura y la implementación de textos ilustrados y contextualizados para lograr una lectura atractiva fueron los principales resultados de esta investigación.

The main objective was to determine how EFL students in 10th grade engaged in reading in English through the implementation of reading workshops in the mobile library context. The type of design was action research, since it focuses on the solution of classroom problems or difficulties having in mind the characteristics of qualitative research. The instruments for data collection were students’ artifacts, journals and students´ interview, open instruments, considering that the data gathered attempted to inform on how the students engaged in EFL reading and enjoyed it.
