The study has a quantitative approach and a descriptive scope and is cross-sectional. Regarding the construction of the instrument, the short and adapted version of the questionnaire designed by Cheung and Lucas (2014, cited in Romero y Matamoros 2020), "Satisfaction with Life Scale" and "Survey on the impact of COVID-19 on families", conducted by Plena Inclusión Madrid (2020), were merged. This merger resulted in a 20-item instrument, divided into demographic data and two dimensions that respond to the household and work economic situation in the context of COVID-19. Among the results, it is worth highlighting that 50% of households show a reduction in income and an increase in extra expenses and an impact on access to basic services, that 25% have been permanently separated from their jobs and 28% have been temporarily suspended, in that sense, it is concluded that public policies should be strengthened by the State.
