El carcinoma escamo celular bucal, es una neoplasia maligna frecuente en cavidad oral. Objetivo: Identificar los factores de riesgo asociados al cáncer oral por medio de una revisión de artículos publicados entre los años 2009 y 2019 Métodos: Este estudio provee información acerca de los factores de riesgo asociados al cáncer oral, proveniente de artículos científicos encontrados en las bases de datos electrónicas de la Universidad Santo Tomás de Aquino, Bucaramanga y artículos referentes a este estudio. Resultados: 111 documentos de estudios de casos y controles, Entre el país de origen de los primeros 4 autores, los países donde más autores han publicado los documentos son de Estados Unidos, China, Brasil E india, De las instituciones analizadas predominan Fujian Medical University, Fuzhou, China, International Agency for Research on cáncer, Lyon, France, UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, Los Ángeles, CA, USA se identifica una mayor presencia de Estados Unidos, mayor producción de las revistas: Oral Oncology, Asian Pacific Journal of Cáncer Prevention e International Journal of Cáncer, Se identificó en esta temática la revista con mayor índice “Annals of Oncology” con dos publicaciones y un SJR de 6,05. Por otro lado el mayor número de publicaciones estuvo identificado en la revista “Oral Oncology” con un factor SJR de 1.51, la revista que en esta temática presenta el mayor factor de impacto es Annals of Oncology con un FI de 14.196, aportando 2 documentos, los factores protectores de los que hay una mayor investigación. Entre ellos se destacan el Consumo de té seguido por una Dieta mediterránea (frutas y verduras) y el Consumo de café, los factores de riesgo más analizados se evidencian el Alcohol, Fumar, Tabaco no fumado, Nuez de Betel, Virus del papiloma Humano, Gutka, Supari, Periodontitis, entre otros. |

Objetivo: Identificar los factores de riesgo asociados al cáncer oral por medio de una revisión de artículos publicados entre los años 2009 y 2019 Métodos: Este estudio provee información acerca de los factores de riesgo asociados al cáncer oral, proveniente de artículos científicos encontrados en las bases de datos electrónicas de la Universidad Santo Tomás de Aquino, Bucaramanga y artículos referentes a este estudio. Resultados: 111 documentos de estudios de casos y controles, Entre el país de origen de los primeros 4 autores, los países donde más autores han publicado los documentos son de Estados Unidos, China, Brasil E india, De las instituciones analizadas predominan Fujian Medical University, Fuzhou, China, International Agency for Research on cáncer, Lyon, France, UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, Los Ángeles, CA, USA se identifica una mayor presencia de Estados Unidos, mayor producción de las revistas: Oral Oncology, Asian Pacific Journal of Cáncer Prevention e International Journal of Cáncer, Se identificó en esta temática la revista con mayor índice “Annals of Oncology” con dos publicaciones y un SJR de 6,05. Por otro lado el mayor número de publicaciones estuvo identificado en la revista “Oral Oncology” con un factor SJR de 1.51, la revista que en esta temática presenta el mayor factor de impacto es Annals of Oncology con un FI de 14.196, aportando 2 documentos, los factores protectores de los que hay una mayor investigación. Entre ellos se destacan el Consumo de té seguido por una Dieta mediterránea (frutas y verduras) y el Consumo de café, los factores de riesgo más analizados se evidencian el Alcohol, Fumar, Tabaco no fumado, Nuez de Betel, Virus del papiloma Humano, Gutka, Supari, Periodontitis, entre otros.Oral squamous cell carcinoma is a common malignancy in the oral cavity. Objective: To identify the risk factors associated with oral cancer through a review of articles published between 2009 and 2019 Methods: This study provides information about the risk factors associated with oral cancer, from scientific articles found in the bases of electronic data from the Santo Tomas de Aquino University, Bucaramanga and articles referring to this study.
